The Revelation of the Sons of God
One of the reasons we celebrate is because our Lord Jesus Christ said:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”
John 14:12 NKJV
“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Mark 16:17-18 NKJV
We believe in the promises of our Lord. He lives in our hearts, so many of us sense deep within our spirits, souls and entire being that this prophecy will be fulfilled soon, in our time (Ephesians 3:17-19).
When Jesus walked the Earth years ago, He performed miracles and wonders, showing His kindness and profound compassion to those who were suffering (Matthew 14:14 & John 20:30-31). Scripture teaches that believers are the body of Christ and the temple of the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:4-5 & I Corinthians 6:19-20). The early church walked in the supernatural power of the living God and did many miracles. An example, the apostle Peter’s shadow would heal the sick when he walked on the streets (Acts 5:14-16). The apostle Paul was also used by God for miracles (Acts 19:11-12), yet inspired by the Holy Spirit he wrote:
“For the creation eagerly awaits the revelation of the sons of God.”.
Romans 8:19 TLV
This leads to understand that despite the early Christians being so full of supernatural Godly power, that the full revealing of the sons of God had not yet occurred. Right now, there are revivals breaking out in different places of the world (look up Ashbury Revival). We believe they are birth contractions and that soon the complete baptism and power of the Holy Spirit will be poured on believers worldwide, just like it happened on the feast of Pentecost/Shavuot, almost 2000 years ago (Joel 2:28-32, Matthew 3:11, Acts 1:4-5, Acts 1:7-8 and Acts 2:1-4).
After witnessing so much suffering and pain, and having undergone many hardships and trials ourselves, our hearts burst with joy at the thought of being used by God to bring an end to the suffering of others. Our Lord Jesus awakens within us, His followers, His deep love and compassion for all humanity and creation.
Imagine a believer walking into a hospital and people being healed! How beautiful! This might seem surreal and impossible, but the God of Israel, the Great I Am, Creator of the Universe, is a supernatural God, full of power to whom nothing is impossible (Matthew 19:26)! We believe that God will show the people of this age that He is real, just like He did during the time of Moses and the plagues of Egypt (Exodus 14:4 and Exodus 14:21-22).
If you are not already a believer of Jesus Christ, the Father invites you to join His Heavenly family and also become one of His beloved children through His Son (here is how to do it: Romans 10:8-11). If you accept the invitation, He will wipe away every tear from your eyes (Revelation 21:4) and will set you free, removing that awful burden you feel deep down inside, because Jesus came to set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1, John 8:36 and Galatians 5:1)!
In the Words of Jesus Himself:
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV
The Eternal and Most High God is a Holy and Righteous Judge who detests sin and evil, yet He also full of love and mercy (Exodus 34:6-7, II Timothy 4:8 and Ecclesiastes 3:17). All throughout Scripture, He warned people to repent and turn away from sin (II Kings 17:13 and Jonah 3:4-10). The Apocalypse is the ultimatum for mankind, and we trust that first God will use His children to grant a gift to humanity, to help them believe and seek Him with all their heart (Joel 2:28-32).
